Inspired by Jesus and Steve Irwin, Jacob Williamson (Trinidad, Colorado) is a mixed media illustrator with a passion for wildlife conservation. Having been taught by traditional painter Vilas Tonape at Trinidad State, Jacob furthered his education at the University of Colorado, Denver. He provides artistic significance through researched, human intention and prioritizes textural mark-making with charcoal and ink. Jacob then complements his traditional work with digital painting and coloring. He has shown at the Next Stage Gallery in Denver. Jacob strives to create tangible illustrations invested in both Colorado’s natural history and its future.
