Chelsea Minter-Brindley

Art Practices

Chelsea Minter-Brindley is a Denver-based artist working in alternative photographic processes, collage, metal, textile, and domestic objects in a way that challenges outdated ideologies surrounding gender and place. As a multi-media artist and photographer, Chelsea enjoys the back and forth between the two-dimensionality of photography and the multiple dimensions of sculpture with different materials. She pushes past the materials' limitations to challenge the viewer to explore beyond conventional boundaries and ideas. Chelsea has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Transmedia Sculpture and Photography from the University of Colorado Denver. Chelsea is currently interning at Meow Wolf Denver and maintaining her long-standing employment at The Emmanuel Art Gallery as a social media manager. She has been in several group exhibitions in Colorado, including Colorado Photographic Arts Center, Pirate Contemporary Art, and the Emmanuel Art Gallery.
