Hanah De Laurell

Art History

Hanah De Laurell is a senior at the University of Colorado at Denver, graduating with a BA in Art History in May 2021. Hanah has focused most of her research on Scottish studies, ranging from Neolithic structures to contemporary art, and her Thesis project focuses on the history and meanings of the country’s iconic tartan fabric. One of her more significant research projects, Tattooing Culture and Identity in Scotland, was selected by an all-university jury as part of the University of Colorado’s Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) in 2020. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a graduate degree in Scotland, and hopes to eventually work toward a PhD in Art History and work in the heritage sector.
