Annabelle Cohen

Art History

Born in 2000 outside of Lake Tahoe, California, Annabelle Cohen will be graduating with a BA in Art History and minors in Painting and Chemistry. After completing an Associate’s Degree in Studio Arts with Community College of Denver, Annabelle found her passion within the combination of art history, painting, and museum work. Her BA thesis focuses on the representation of women's sexuality and femininity in art, using the works of legendary artist Carolee Schneemann and contemporary artist Caitlin Cherry as exemplary of different feminist generations. Similar to the academic pursuits of her thesis, Annabelle’s studio practices involve painting and drawing images of women that focus on sexuality. Following graduation, she hopes to pursue a graduate degree and subsequent career in art restoration and conservation.
