Kelsi Allen Berumen

Art History

Kelsi Berumen is a senior getting a BFA in Art history and minoring in Religious Studies. After taking a gap year between college and high school, she started at Red Rocks Community College. She attended Red Rocks for two years, where she worked on ceramics and grew an interest in Art History and religious studies. Once she transferred to the University of Colorado Denver, she focused on eastern religions and a wide range of art history. By combining her interest in religious studies and art history, she researches Leonora Carrington's thesis and her relationship to witchcraft, Egyptian mythology, and the occult and how these motifs show up in Carrington's work. Fall of 2021 is her last semester before graduation. She will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy, to expand her studies in history and religion. After graduation, she hopes to find a career in a museum.
